Dumaluan Beach Resort
Filed Under Travel->
It has been several months already and I still hardly written anything about my trip to Bohol. So as promised, here’s one review on the resort that we stayed in.
Accomodation
Well… I’m not a very picky person and I’m very easy to please as well. The cottage that we stayed is a twin-sharing suite that has basic necessities which is a large and spacious bathroom, refrigerator, a powder area, air conditioning and of course, beds! The cottage has a terrace with table and chairs. Pretty basic but hey, do I need a television in a vacation?
There are different type of rooms to choose from at Dumaluan that would suit your varied taste. You can even opt to get a room complete with television, bathtub, among others. But of course, you’ll have to pay extra.
They use generator as backup power and apparently, brownout is frequent that in the three days that we stayed there, they had to use their generator twice. The bad thing is, it broke and the management had to call in mechanics to fix the generator.
Amenities
You can do a lot in Dumaluan. They have kayaks, jet ski and they also offer snorkeling trip for a fee. Don’t know how much, though. Aside from those, the resort also has volleyball court, basketball court, billiards table, table tennis and a swing! They also have swimming pool in case you don’t want to dip in the sea. This is quite popular for the kids. You’ll definitely have a good time in this resort.
If you can’t get enough at Dumaluan, you can always take a walk at the nearby Bohol Beach Club which is adjacent to the resort.
Price
I would say the price at Dumaluan is very affordable. I think the cheapest was PHP1300 and the most expensive is P4600 but that’s Dec 2006 price. You may have to check out their website for a more updated published rate. We’ve reseved a room while we were in Manila and paid through the bank. When transferring through bank, keep the receipt as you’ll have to show it to the staff during check-in.
Food
Food is good but they have definitely have a lot of room for improvement in this area. Our package already has breakfast for two so we only have to worry about the lunch and dinner. There’s a lot of choices but a bit pricey and the real downside is that it really take them ages to serve your food. At dinner, they serve grilled fresh catch if you like.
