Ihmanian.com Live!!!
Filed Under Uncategorized->
Today, I’m so happy to announce that I finally finished my little project, ihmanian. It’s a community site dedicated for the students, alumni, faculty, administration and people connected, in one way or another, to my alma mater, Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy. The long weekend(Holy Week) has given me a lot of free time to work on this and I’m happy with it. Yes, you may say it’s a small thing but I consider this small thing as an achievement. The site has the following:
1. Forum (SimpleBoard)
2. User Registration (CommunityBuilder)
3. User connection maintenance (CommunityBuilder)
4. Private Messaging (SimpleBoard)
5. Simple Blog (by Mamblog)
6. News/Article Submission feature (Joomla)
7. Link Submission feature (Joomla)
8. Online Games(from various sources)
There are also plans of putting up a lyrics submission module which I’m still working on (i dunno when I’ll be able to finish it, maybe if there will be another long weekend).
Oh, I would like to remind you that the site is in no way connected nor officially recognized or whatsoever with the school. Please visit the site and have a look. And if you have a google adsense account or want to advertise your website or business, just send me the codes and I’ll be happy to post them. I’ll be giving out 10,000 free impressions for every advertisement that will be selected. What’s the catch? Nothing!!! Just register in the site!
Rediscovering Faith
Filed Under Personal->
Every person finds his or her faith and religion in different ways. I’m sure a lot of us found them just the same — through our parents. From our infancy up until we are already grown-up, our parents have introduced us to their faith. Usually, they bring us to the church, attend mass and pay together. Actually, the way our parents, family and the people around us introduced God to us also defines how much we know God, what we don’t know about Him and how much we appreciate Him. I would say I’m one of the lucky souls who had parents that raised me and my siblings with an open heart and minds and thought us how to appreciate things no matter how small it may be (i.e., don’t waste a single a single grain of rice as it needed blood and perspiration to produce them).
Speaking of appreciation, I remember a classmate in high school when asked in a Christian Living class on how often she thanks God. She said that in every morning she wakes up, she thanks God and also on each blessing she receives. That hit me and haunt me for years. I asked myself, ‘Do I thank God as she does?’, ‘Do i appreciate all His blessings or at least, do I recognize them?’
At that early age of 13, I’m not really sure if my classmate knew what she was saying. I don’t know if she clearly understands what she does… if she really mean what she says. Actually, I doubted if ever she was saying the truth. However, that is already irrelevant. What is important is how important God is to me…. how much I appreciate Him, if at all.
Honestly, it took almost a decade before I fully understood. All that years, I am just another kid that follows whatever is preached without my heart. I was confused just like some of us. I wanted to understand more about my faith.
And God is just right everywhere. He always know what we were thinking… what bothers us. And what more is best to re-introduce Himself but through trials. At first, it just add some more into my confusion. When you try to live the way of Jesus and still receive enormous trials in life and family, your faith in Him would be put to the test. But amidst the ordeal, God showed himself in many ways. He showed how much He loves our family. He reminded us that He is the light at the end of the tunnel and that He never let us alone. All we needed to do is just hold on to Him and offer each and every day of our lives.
Slowly, He led us to pick-up the pieces of our shattered lives and stand up to continue to face life and serve Him. I realized that on each and every trial we went through made us a better and stronger person. I realized each ordeal teaches us things we wouldn’t have learned if did not gone though those problems. It is true that it is not important how many times we were down but how many times we get up. Each trial made us realize how much lucky we are and began to appreciate things I would have ignored or not noticed before. Today, just like my high school classmate, I thank God for every morning I wake up, for every night I sleep and in every blessings, big and small, that comes along the way. Thanks to her, she has unknowingly planted a seed that grew in me.
Trials in life redifined how I view my life in general. It led me to love my job more and have more passion in everything I do. I feel that I’m more responsible now and that I can face anything because I know God is with me. I have more confidence on myself than ever and have never been thankful through the bottom of my heart. It’s funny that it may be a simple thing for other people to rediscover your faith but for me, it was a big thing. It strengthen my faith and me.
Everything happens for a reason. All you need to do is BELIEVE IN HIM…. just believe.
Nike Sale on April 20-22, 2006
Filed Under UncategorizedThere will be a Nike sale on April 20, 21 and 22, 2006. This is one of the events my officemates are waiting for because of great finds at bargain prices. One time, I bought a pair of shoes at 70% off.
Words of advice, though. You have to be there early and don’t try go there during lunch time as the shop is jampacked! Some of my officemate even file a leave just to dedicate a day on shopping! Sometimes, store employees issues a number and customers have to wait at the parking lot at the 3rd floor. That shows how popular this sale is.
Their office is at 6th floor, Rufino Tower, Ayala Ave. cor. Rufino St., Makati City. Operating hours are 10am - 7pm and take note, credit cards are accepted!!!

The list is very comprehensive, informative and very inspiring. Honestly, I can’t add more. Darren is a professional blogger who earns 6-digit paycheck every month. He is kind enough to share his experiences. In that note, reading his insight is highly recommended. You can find his ‘lessons learnt’ list here.
Airsoft DIY: Well M4 Suppressor
Over the weekend, I’ve finally had some spare time to start my long overdue project for my Well M4 (R6). The idea is to add a detachable suppressor in R6. It’s a cosmetic upgrade on the very basic looking but potent airsoft gun. (Actually, my lowly DE M83A2 looks better than my R6). So, to give add some facelift to my beloved R6, I thought my brother’s MP5SD6 suppressor that he doesn’t use would fit the job.
Materials:
- (1) Stainless Steel Nipple Coupling ; size is 1/3′ (see image)
- (1) Stainless Steel Adaptor; size is 1/3′ (see image)
- (1) GB MP5SD6 Suppressor
- Sand Paper
- Super Glue
- Saw

Here’s how I did it.
1. Mark the points for cutting. The marks are 1cm and 2.5cm from the end of the sight for 1st and 2nd marks, respectively. The third one is at the end of the inclined area. That’s about 3.5cm from the end of the sight.

2. Cut the barrel. Make sure the cut is consistent.Use the sand paper to smoothen the ends.

3. Place the end of the adjuster into the nipple coupling and insert them to the barrel as shown below. This is a perfect fit so you shouldn’t encounter any problem. Put some super glue to for

4. Insert a paper around the barrel so that it won’t wiggle. Remove excess paper.

5. Attach the stainless adaptor into the SD6 suppressor. The adaptor and the suppressor is a perfect fit (again, by lucky coinsidence) so you won’t have any problem there.Check the alignments(quite tricky) and hold the barrel for a while until the adaptor and the suppressor have totally bonded.

6. Screw in the suppressor to your R6 to re-check alignment. Firing a few rounds is recommended to make sure the BBs don’t touch the inner wall of the suppressor. Once satisfied, spray paint your gun.

The nipple and adaptor couplings are great because it fitted perfectly into the plastic barrel. Actually, I can modify the original Flasher so that I can also screw it into the modified barrel to replace the suppressor. That would make my R6 look like a shorty and would be great for CQB games.
That would be my next project. For more pictures, please see them here.
